Vortecs and intake change go together. You can't change to Vortec heads and keep the current intake.

059's are 305 Vortecs, and 062 are 350 Vortecs. The 062's are the better performers.

No need to change the carb. It'll produce as much power as that Goodwrench shortblock can take.

062 Vortecs, upgraded valve springs (cutting the top of the valve guides is usually a good idea to get better valve travel capability), Performer Vortec spreadbore intake, cam something in a Comp XE262-268 range, 1-5/8" primary headers, good y-pipe, 3" cat on back, something better than a stock single snorkel air cleaner. You won't be disappointed.

well will assume...you have a part's store reman engine
with a very mild cam..... get the specs on the cam & springs... you can wake that 350 up with 1.6 rockers.. installing 64cc vortech or 1081 heads will let the 350 breath
do you have the E4MED carb... and computer controlled distributer????

Re: help waking a 350 crate engine

Is that motor a roller motor?

If not, I would just find a vortec motor and have it rebuilt with a larger cam.

"new brunswick" = Canada. Therefore, probably not computer controlled.

Get the casting # off of the block.
