lookin for advice on setup
story is, i bought a 85 firebird (ex-v6), project car, i purchased with no engine and no trans, but was told it has been already ran with a carbed 350..
well at this point i have purchased a th350 trans - 9" tail (have a modified x-member to fit the torque arm), purchased a carbed 350 out of a 85 chevy truck i was told
i am looking for a mild setup maybe 250hp
i believe that the engine currently has a q-jet on it
i have also purchased the weiand action+ intake manifold
also have short tube headers
questions are
i am thinking about buying a holley 650, prob. vacuum sec.
prob. sticking with stock heads
thinking about throwing in a cam about 460 lift give or take
other options i have, i do have a holley 750 laying around at a friends house, but i am thinking that would be a little too much for the mild build, i think it is mechanical but i do not remember
or i could leave the engine as is and leave it at the prob. 180 hp that it might have
what do you guys think
