Can I use a oil filter as a fuel filter?
I currently have a canister style fuel filter on my car (not the stock one). I have no problems with it except that when I want to change it, number 1 it makes a mess, and number two I have to order the filter. I have a remote filter kit for an auto trans that I never put on and is now no use to me. Could I use this kit as a fuel filter intead? The only part that conserned me a little was I didnt know how the different rubber pieces in the oil filter would react with being in gas all the time.

A quality filter will use Viton or equivalent, so it shouldn't be a problem.
