Strange engine RPM fluctiation?!
Hi!
Took out the car from its winter hibernation on May 1st drove her (119miles or 190km) and runned like a champ, smooth, good response, awesome idle. Good start all fine :-)
Drove all day in the town, parked her at night, and today (may 3rd) I took her for a long trip and after ~30miles / 50km when I was about to change file and push down the throttle, the RPM gauge when up and down like 1000rpms and it was like the engine stopped and started (never died or throwed a SES light and no codes stored) and after 2-3 seconds it went away and was gone for the rest of the trip... when I arrived I checked everything, cables, oils etc etc all fine (brand new LARGE cables and all grounds etc are changed last year and all good onnections) parked for 5 hours and when I was about to leave I started her. backed out put her in park to just walk out and talk to a friend (car still on nice steady smooth idle) suddenly it started to wander (fast) on idle up and down up and down fast.. after 4seconds it stopped and idle was stable again at 750-800 RPM..
Sorry but its really hard to explain how it acted and it stopped act like it on itself to, and I cant "force" the problem to accour either.. WTH ?
Pretty much everything is brand new on the car.
New MSD dizzy (8366) msd 8226 blastercoil, msd 8.5 wires, sparkplugs, ECM, IAC, ESC, Knock Sensor, Power cables, grounds, TPS, Injectors, FuelPressure regulator. Ignition Switch, Ignition lock cylinder and keys (VATS)
Got 3 gauges installed (fuelpressure, vacuum, air/fuel mixture)
Fuel pressure was good during the jumping RPM etc. so its not the fuelpump..
Im suspecting the ignition module, but what you say ? and it seemed like it happened when I had to cellphone on top of the stereo/ac panel...
Please, what you think about this problem ?
Ive put alot of new parts in it chasing another problem thats fixed, there isnt much left of the old parts on this car now..
