Hi all,
I have a 1992 firebird that has a few problems that I NEED to get fixed. One it is misfireing, I have put in new plugs and its timed, but It still misses, I think it is the wires and distibuter cap and rotor posible the condenser. Two, the back end has this terible rattle. When Im driveing it there is a clunk clunk clunk and the car shakes a bit. My dad thinks its a wheel or axle bearing but im thinking its a bit more. Three the front end has a wander. I was told it could be bushings or powersteering gears. If I could get some help on identifying the problems and the best way to fix them in an easy cheep maner(I know its not always cheep or easy) that would be great, ive been driveing it for well one day legaly, but on the other days its been doing this and Im really conserned about it, it lit on fire on me once and i dont want anything else to go wrong. Thanks all.

 

Also the floor over the cat converter is geting supper hot, and i have no clue why, and now i that i think about it this shouldent be under engine tech.

 

First need to know what engine - 305 TBI, 305 TPI, 350 TPI, V6?
