EGR Vacuum Solenoid?? Rebuilt 350 Engine Fire

I rebuilt the engine in my 89 Z Convertable with a new 350 block but reusing the TPI system from my ttop IROC. After driving it for 2 weeks a fuel line busted and the engine caught fire near the distributor and coil. I was able to get a new distributor and coil etc. but I'm having trouble finding the EGR Vacuum Solenoid. Do I have to have this for the engine to run?? I have tried every junkyard I can find to get one but no luck yet. I found a couple sites that are selling them but they either want 120$ or there showing it for a 5.0 or TBI engine? Do I need to replace this thing or not its burnt to heck and if so can someone suggest where to get one?

305 and 350 TPI use the same part.

You don't need it to run, but you should have it in order for the engine to run properly.
