I'd like to see the answer to this. I guess you could try it. If it doesn't bump, clay it. Then cut the clay to check the clearance.

Re: big block head piston / combo
Too many factors to say yes or no. The majority of the dome pistons will fit into a standard 119cc combustion chamber. I've got huge dome JE race pistons in my engine and they fit into Canfield 310 24.5* heads with no problems.
As with any custom build, you assemble, measure and rip down the engine numerous times to get everything right. You can't just slap it together and expect all the tolerances to be good.

alkyiroc i have a question for you , my intentions are to keep compression around 11.5-12.-1 , i have a stripped 92 firebird 10.5 slick 4.10 gear automatic 4000 hughes conv. but i want to got solid roller , not to wild on lift and id like to keep duration around 290 to 300 degrees i want this to be a mid ten second car any recommendations thanks zeke

I ran low 10's with a mid .600 lift flat tappet cam, oval port steel Merlin heads and pump gas.
Just use a standard 4.240" bore head gasket. 1017-1 or something like that. That actually may be the 4.500" bore gasket number.
You can't pick a converter stall before knowing what camshaft you're going to use.
