What RPM does your 305TPI / auto shift @ WOT?

I was cruising down the road yesterday and occasionally getting on it and a few times when I got the good downshift, I noticed that the tach would be well into the red (probably 5500-6000) before it would shift again. Is this normal? I can't remember on any of my other 90-92 305 TPI cars, it just seems awful high according to the redzone on the tach.

Just curious,
Thanks.

Mine is definitely into the red; Doesn't feel like its wheezing out at that rpm, just thought it seems awful high for a TPI motor.
