Will it hurt to run with your A\C stuff removed?

Will it hurt to run with your A\C stuff removed?
I don't plan on getting rid of my A\C stuff, but I have it out right now doing some engine work. I have the big silver bottle thing and the tube that goes from the silver bottle to the A\C motor to the thing behind the radiator removed. Will it hurt anything to start up the car and drive it with that stuff taken out?
