gas in oil

last week i replaced the carb on my 350, and i didnt have it tunned so it was running extremely rich, and i drove it for a few days like that, then i noticed my oil pressure was very low at idle and checked the dipstick, and the oil was thin and smelled like gas. what are the chances that because its running so rich gas is just seeping by the piston rings and nothing is broken or needs rebuilding

Re: gas in oil

Does gas get into the cylinders with the car off? Does the car run rough, make any weird sounds? If you're running rich, you're just blowing the extra gas out the exhaust, so it shouldn't be seeping through the ring gaps with it running.
