Remove all your smog and A\C stuff, and relocate your heater coolant valve thingy. Other than that, I have no clue.

I haven't changed my plugs yet but i had to get 6 and 8 from under the car to tighten them up. (whoever installed them originally probably only hand tightened them.)

Re: Spark plugs hard to reach

You can get 6/8 from above, you just have to be crafty. You'll have to disassemble your socket wrench, then force the spark plug socket on the wrench once it's in the right area, then remove it. I just did it two days ago to fix a miss.

Be sure you have a good selection of extensions. I think I use a one inch for the #8 plug. Also a swivel head ratchet is good for getting into the tight space at the right rear.

Re: Spark plugs hard to reach

almost all of them are easier through the bottom, # 3,4,7,and 8, the only ones that you can do from the top are 1, and 5 because they're easy to get to, and 2, and 6 because the k member gets in the way from the bottom. the smog system is the biggest issue here, when I replaced mine about 2 months ago, those damn tubes were what slowed me down the most.

Re: Spark plugs hard to reach

Yea so I figerd out how to do them all I had to put a 3/4 wrench on the spark plug socket to remove number 6. I replaced the wires and they where the original wires.

My car now runs smoother, number 8 cylinder had a spark plug wire that was melted in half.
