Replacing a distributer cap

I have a 97 pathfinder that keeps stalling out when im driving it. Is it more likely the distributer cap or fuel pump? I just had the fuel filter replaced ao its not that. The distrubuter has only to do with the car starting right? not it running? If its not a huge task i will fix it or if not i will sell it.

Distributor has to do with car running. It's what makes the plugs ignite! Engine needs gas, air, spark - distributor provides spark. It "distributes" the spark to the correct spark plug.
