Completely stock 88 iroc z. Had the car out on friday night and it ran fine. Then tonight go out and it cranked for a while and only starts when i floor it. It than only stays running when my foots on the gas and when revving up high it is kind of rough. Lately after a hard drive(racing on country roads) It stinks up the garage after being parked. Believe it must be the cat. Should I pull the cat or where should i start looking?

 

Started it again today, same thing. had big cloud of smoke, smells like its running really rich. Any suggestions? ALso havent owned the car long, so dont know the ins and outs, but the ses light doesnt light up, ever. should that be my first fix?
