Like the title says, I've read over and over that 82-92 fbody's only had the 153 tooth flywheel. I'll be replacing mine soon and don't want to order the wrong part. My engine(l98) was pulled from an 89 formula and has the staggered bolt starter, therefore being a 168 tooth flexplate, right? Also do I order internal or external balanced?

So a previous owner changed it. With an automatic, it's no real challenge. It doesn't really matter unless you're trying to use a stock T5 bellhousing. Smaller is better for performance, but the difference is not enough to feel.

Ok so all that really matters is the bolt pattern and making sure the starter/flexplate match up?
