I have a 92 TA Vert TPI 305. I was running fine for the longest time. It idles and revs nicely but stalls under load. It doesn't stumble it just cuts out when you accelerate. SES light also came on a week or so ago. Where should I start. Thx.

 

Start by finding out what fault is turning on the SES light.

Oh brother!! So I used the paperclip method to short the OBD.

I get the first readout which I assume is 12. Flash, pause, flash-flash, long pause flash, pause, flash-flash, long pause flash, pause, flash-flash, long pause.

How on earth do you decipher the rest of the codes?

 

OK, buddy of mine tells me I am getting a code 22. I guess I should start with replacing the TPS?

 

Yes it should flash 12 three times , then the remaining flashes will tell you what is going on. Code 22 is Tps I believe. Let me know how it goes
