Dollar General API SF oil

I have been eye balling oil sold at Dollar General labeled API SF for 88 and older engines. I am thinking it contains a high level of zddp. I wonder if this would be good for my 86 Lg4 engine. Any input would be appreciated.

Re: Dollar General API SF oil

I seem to recall it not being legal to carry oil with high ZDDP levels for street engines.

There are addatives available. ZDDPlus is one that claims to have a package that will restore current motor oil to SF specs. Id rather use that and use a higher quality oil than some generic oil.
