My car is overheating. I just bought a brand new 350 crate motor. Put my belt setup on it with tpi setup drove it around for a while and it started heating up while driving. I called the company I bought the motor from and they suggested timing which was done with a light. They suggested a new t-stat and its got a new 180 degrees. Dual electric fans always running and aluminum radiator. Any help please.

is the radiator cap snug

 

double check everything. Just because its new doesnt mean its good.

 

Correct water pump?

The radiator cap is snug and the water pump was on the 350 i had that stopped working along with the belt setup and the tpi

 

fans running? and when mine was a little time i got hot so i would check that

 

Fans are both blowing at all times when driving

I like this one. You said you put your "belt setup" on it, but what water pump are you using?

 

it is the reverse flow water pump from the tpi setup
