Engine: 305.
Transmission: t5
Axle/Gears: 3.73
Had to rebuild engine and now wont start
I had to rebuild my engine and now that everything is back together with new headers my 84 wont start up. It did crank up but it seems to be rough when it does. After i let go of the key the carb backfires and after that catches for a little bit. Can anyone help, this is my first rebuild

make sure the dist was stabbed in with the engine at TDC on the compression stroke (not the exhaust stroke), and double check firing order
