Diff fluid leak
i just did a rearend swap a week ago, today i look under the car and see a small amount of fluid coming from where the drive shaft goes onto the diff, you can see a drop of oil coming off one of the four nuts that hold the driveshaft in place, any seals there to change? or where else may it be leaking from?

Re: Diff fluid leak
Gear oil will leak past the splines of the pinion shaft. There is a seal to prevent this on the yoke but it gets old and begins to fail. Remove the pinion nut. If the pinion seal is also leaking, replace it at this time. Clean everything real thoroughly with brake cleaner, fill the cavilty under the pinion nut washer with "The Right Stuff" and reinstall the nut.

The Right stuff is a heavy type of RTV from Permatex. Find it at most any parts store.
