So I finally got the car up and running after rebuilding the trans, and I took it for a ride, everything went well for the first 100 miles... Then the Torque Converter went taking the front pump with it, then the tranny cooler took out the radiator and before the car came to a stop the motor made some hideous noises. Now I'm looking for either a 4th gen LS T56 or a 3rd gen T5. If the motor's not too bad it'll get rebuilt probably as a 383, if it's toast and I can find a 4th gen with an LS1 and t56 it'll be a complete swap. either way the car will be down for an unknown amount of time. Only upside is now I can paint the firewall and finish the little interior pieces.
