looking to build my 383 for nitrous. im going to do a lightened scat crank with eagle h-beam rods and diamond pistons. my question is should i go with 5.7 or 6.0 rods it's a debate that i can't get a straight answear on. 5.7 is better for faster rev i hear but the 6" rod will help from slop. i will be bolting dart iron eagle heads up on this setup it's going to be a street strip car 150-175shot.

I'm looking to do a 383 stroker non-nitrous motor. From what I've read, difference between rod lengths won't matter too much for rpm/power levels we see. 6.0 rod give you a more acute angle against bore wall when piston travels up and down. A stroker kit with 6.0 rods should come with pistons that are lighter than 5.7 rod kits since pin is up higher in piston. These two help reduce stress and wear on the engine, especially as rpm's go up. If you are starting from scratch and can get a 6.0 rod stroker kit, I would do it. People do not seem to have clearance issues with 6.0 rods. Some rods may be slimmer that others to help avoid excessive block machining though.
