Proper Brake Maintenance While In Storage?

Okay, so... a combination of repeated vandalism and living within walking distance of my job compelled me to put my car in storage. I haven't had it out on the street since the end of July, but I do visit it several times a month to let the engine run, check fluids/belts, polish it, etc.

I guess my main question is in regards to my brakes. Will they get corroded/not function as well if I don't take the car out on the road somewhat regularly? Sorry if that's a stupid question, but I'm coming from somewhere that tended to be extremely damp and humid much of the year and corrosion was a possibility if you let a car sit too long. Now, however, I'm in CA where it is constantly hot and dry, so I'm wondering if corrosion is even an issue.

The rotors will accumulate surface rust, but no big deal. 1st day out, 1st good braking and it'll get taken off by the pad - might squeak on the first few brakings, but no big deal..

Ah, okay! Cool. I'll try to take it out for a run now and then. I've got..."tandem parking" is the term, I think. It's where someone else's space is right behind mine, so I can't come and go as I please. I'm right in the heart of Hollywood, but the car's off on a smaller side road, so I've got a few quiet streets I can shake the rust off on before hitting main roads.

Sidenote, I used to live in NC. Hiddenite/Hickory, to be exact. That's where I originally bought my car.
