Re: cooling fan switch ?

Just make sure it's nothing silly like a bad connection where you hook the wire up to the fan switch.

Re: cooling fan switch ?

If you can ground the connector to the block and the fans kick on, then the circuit and fans are fine. Clean the connector on the wire and the switch, and if that doesn't help, then your switch is bad. Done. NEXT!

Re: cooling fan switch ?

I had my fans grounded directly to the block and now they don't work. I changed the relays but the fans won't turn on. Could I have possibly blown the fan motor? I have the dual fan setup. I switched the fans and still a no go. What can be causing this problem? When I have the ignition on and ground and unground the fans I can hear the relay work.

Why revive a nearly 4 month old, dead thread. Should have made a new one.

No.

Using a voltmeter or test light
(the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) see if there is power on the pin E orange wire or red wire (depending on VIN) at the relay.

It doesn’t matter what position the ignition key is in.
