engine rebuild
How much would you think a general engine rebuild would cost? I havent had a motor rebuilt in a very long time and i was wondering if the price has raised any?

Re: engine rebuild
I am almost done with my rebuild, I've dumped about 1500 into it. Machine work, plus parts etc. Mostly everything I've got are standard, except high volume oil pump, double roller timing chain, and .030 pistons for the 350. Most of it wasn't any extra cost, if any very little.

Re: engine rebuild
that dosent sound to bad. i dont need a rebuild right now but she is pushing 180000 miles. so i figured i might as well start putting some money aside for when the time comes. I prolly wont upgrade anything besides the cam and maybe a new intake.

Re: engine rebuild
Right now I am at 600 dollars. I had the block punched 30 over, new pistons and rings. new cam,rod and main bearings, new brass freze plugs new oil gally plugs. and a new standrad volumn oil pump and timing set as well as a new stock cam and lifters. So a build can be done without droping to much coin on it.
