Ok so my car has been driving pretty great for awhile now as its my daily driver for the better part of 3 years, until about two days ago when it started acting weird. When driving at highway speeds and gradually accelerating between the 60 - 80mph mark, I feel a weird almost loss of power stuttering feeling in the pedal. It doesnt make the car slow down or anything though and still maintains speed. I just feel it through the pedal. Its very subtle. I thought I had just been being paranoid, until my fiance noticed it while driving with me. The car is usually just about or above 2000 RPM when I notice it. More so up hills/inclines. I dont think it does it when I floor it, but it would be hard to tell as its very subtle. I do have an exhuast leak to attend to in one of my catyllitic converters, that I have been putting off like an ***, but I dont think/know if that would cause this only under those conditions. Car had a tune up about 3 years ago. I do drive it daily. Maybe its time for another? Just changed oil last month. Air filter looked clean when I checked it a few weeks ago.
Also lately starting around the same time as what I just described....
The tranny or drive train or something (IDK) has been acting weird. Im assuming the problem is related to the afforementioned one because both starting happening at about the same time. Almost like theres a resistance. Like instead of coasting smoothly when I let off the gas, it feels like I am applying the brakes very very subtlely. Its still coasts. It doesnt do it enough to slow me down or anything. Just like some resistance is the best way to describe it. Im at a loss here. Im gonna play with it later today when I get out of work and see what I can come up with. Any ideas though on what it might be or what I should look into?
