Removing A/C

Is it necessary to have a delete box? What if just remove all the a/c components(replace condenser with delete pully) and leave the lines open at the firewall?

Re: Removing A/C

I think it depends on if you want to delete the heat or not. Not positive though.

Re: Removing A/C

I deleted mine with just a pulley. I plugged any hose connections at the firewall. I still have heat too.

Re: Removing A/C

Leaving the lines open at the HVAC box will work fine. AC will effectively be deleted, it just looks terrible. The only problem is should you choose to reinstall AC, the core will need to be replaced from contamination

The non-AC HVAC box is another option but brings along a few issues to resolve like blower motor selection, cost and internal headunit controls

Re: Removing A/C

Thanks for the info guys.

I never drive the car with the top on.

The reason I drive this thrdgen is like 70% body style and 30% a convertible. The 30% is actually body style too, since I never liked that hatch on thirdgen coupes. The flat short hatch on conv. is just beautiful. I never saw a prettier body style on any american car. If I get 100k to buy a car it would not be a ferrari.., well, maybe..but only after buying a couple all orginal thirdgen conv. with like 2k miles on it...
