good kit?
Would this be a good kit for a streetable sbc 350? Its a 1979 sbc 350

No. Bad choice.
Too much duration for the compression the motor has; too little exhaust lobe for the intake lobe it has.

Yes you need the springs (these could be more important than the cam), retainers, locks, a new timing set; and some better rockers than those rubber things the factory supplies woudn't be a bad idea either.
You CANNOT use stock springs on ANY aftermarket cam. They're barely even enough for a stock peanut cam, when NEW. They are absolutely not enough for ANY more aggressive cam AT ALL. Do not even hallucinate that you can find a decent cam that will allow you to re-use that crap.
