2.8 no start
I had this car running back in july, i replaced the fuel pump and a FPR vacum line and she started right up, it ran for a week then died and wont start, so far iv replaced the ign module, cap, button, entire fuel rail system, fuel pump, and MAF sensor. after i changed the fuel system i checked my timing and i was off two teeth so i set it back to normal and tried to start it and it was back firing so i swapped plugs 1 and 4and its fireing now but wont start, my plugs arent fowled, they are newish, along with the plugs, and im lost, can someone please input, i have plenty of pressure at the rail because when i push in on the nipple the gas almost hits the hood. someone please help me!

Re: 2.8 no start
might also add that im getting fuel and spark and its fireing but just not enough to get it to start, my dad is bringing it up to TDC then doing a compression stroke today then hes gonna check the timing to see where im at. this is really starting to kill me.
Re: 2.8 no start
Remember you have to disconnect the DST connector when setting base timing. I wouldnt fool with that until you can atleast get it running
Borrow a fuel pressure gauge and make sure it's building pressure. Next, double check your firing order. Its easy to get the wires mixed up

Lower right part of the schematic. Its for a 90-92 car, but your 86 will have it too

Re: 2.8 no start
its a connector right by your heater box(might be in the wire loom) its a gray plastic connector with i think a white wire coming out of both ends(may be wrong on the color) you have to unplug this to set base timing
edit...correction tan wire
