Big problem quick fix? spark plug

i have an old camaro i been using just to beat around this summer and i would like to keep it going till inspection is due (than its gettin parked as parts car) yesterday one of the spark plus poped out, all the treads are left in where it bolts up, what tlhe heck am i supposed to do? the sparks are badly rusted and i don't want to touch any single one of them, the on that poped is still working but how am i supposed to make stay and sealed where its supposed to bolt up? could i weld it their lol? i just want to keep her going for about 2 months. I have another set of heads that would work on the motor but i don't know if its worth swaping what do i need to make it work just the head gaskets? i know the spark plugs are good on these ones lol they are less than a year old. any help and advice will be apreciated thanks!

Re: Big problem quick fix? spark plug

the spark was badly rusted and it poped out while i was driving, the treads of the spark plug are still in the head (where it bolts up). I think i am just going to change the heads it will make a good spare engine after that is done, i will get some new valve seals installed in the other heads i am putting on do i just need head gaskets to do this job? How much do i torque the head bolts and should the bolts also be replaced? thanks

You can clean the threads in the head out with a tap, or helicoil it.

yha but won't that leave metal shaving in the cylinder? If i am going to have to take the head off i might as well change it cause all the spark plugs are rusted like hell on both sides

You can use a telescoping pen magnet to remove the shavings.

Re: Big problem quick fix? spark plug

Pen magnet/compressed air/whatever will get most of the chips out, and whatever's left will be blown out the exhaust. If they're small and fine they won't cause any damage as long as you don't let them get caught in the cat.
