Car died while driving
I just finished my 350tbi swap chip tuned and everything today. I decided to go to a muffler shop right after she was running good since I'm riding around with open headers. On the way there the car died a few times while driving, the 3rd or 4th time it wouldn't start at all kinda like the battery was dead no SES light or anything on accessory but blinkers worked along with windows and hatch. Only thing i can think of is my air cleaner rubbed the coil wires and shorted out my system?? i placed a piece of cardboard between the base and wires so i don't know how they made contact. Whats the damage if they did touch?

The air cleaner rubbing on the coil or plug wires shouldn't cause it to short out, especially since you just got it running. The wires are insulated. I would run your codes anyway. Sometimes they are stored and the light won't be on. I would first check battery condition, spark presence, fuel pressure.

Re: Car died while driving
I had my dad have a crack at it he think a relay is bad then bypassed wires and got it to start, she ran how she did b4 she killed over on me earlier today. On the way home i slowed down to avoid scrapped my y pipe on this dip in the road and the car died on me put in neutral started again and made it home. This turning off on me thing is getting old fast. Could this be vats messing with me?
