need help after some top end work

Hey guys,
I just got finished tearing down the engine to replace the gaskets which at this point were falling apart and cleaning out the egr ports. I made sure everything was done right and cleanly.... Well minus forgetting to mark the dist. but besides that it all went good. my problem now is that i cannot start the car.
It turns over strongly its getting fuel and its getting air and spark but will not start. I must have checked this thing over a million times but idk what it is.

Getting down to it i took off the plenum, runners, fuel rail and injectors, manifold, and valve covers. Noting performance just some needed work.

Is there some little trick or step i possibly missed.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP!!! IM GOING INSANE OVER THIS!!!

Kacey

I bet youre out of time, check the distributor again and check to make sure your cam is at proper time and check your compression. Because if you have spark, fuel, and air and its still not running you dont have compression and/or time.

Re: need help after some top end work

i just checked the timing and it was spot on. Compression would only be affected if the heads were taken off though wouldnt they?

I did check the spark plugs and fuel rail. I am getting fuel to the rail but not to the cylinders. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the help

I assume that by "Spot on" you mean that the distributor #1 is aligned with cylinder #1 at TDC on the compression stroke.
You need a noid light to check for signal at the injectors.
I don't know what part stores are in your area, but AutoZone sells a 6/pc set for all makes, in the range of $25, but you can buy the GM one for about $10. It's a neat tester to have in you car.
