starter help
i have a 91 camaro rs with a 305 in it. i had problems with the starter and took the starter off and the guy i had bought it from had a 350 starter on it and come to find out the starter was hung in engage. so i went and got a 305 starter for it and brought it home and tried putting it on but it wont bolt up against the block without hitting the flywheel
anybody ever had this problem before? or have any ideas of what could be wrong?

Re: starter help
There are two different sizes of Chevy flywheels / flexplates ( 153 and 168 tooth ) and each has it own starter
Starter must match flexplate.
If 350 starter is identical type to your 305 one then you can just swap the end housing over to suit your car
