wanted to ask again on stalling problem
wanted to ask again on stalling problem
92 tbi 305 stock
when warmed up idle will drop, i.a.c will catch it, will do it again and die.
replaced: e/c/m.....i.a.c....t.p.s......02 sensor....coolant temp sensor....
bought a complete tbi unit at pick-a-part sensors and all......same thing
timing set at 8 degrees....replaced throttle body gasket,,,checked for vacume leaks....i'am at a friggin loss, it had a code for air temp sensor once....could that sensor cause it?
....maybe a good thing is it's getting worse, seemed to be worse when i put a open air cleaner lid on it....i've tugged and pulled on wiring when it's running, cant seem to "make" it happen
seems like only happens once it's in closed loop
thanks

Re: wanted to ask again on stalling problem
Went through something similiar with my fathers 95 truck (same basic system) we found the issue was in the distributor. Something to check into, unfortunately the only real way to test it is to stab in a new unit.
