earlier today i noticed some fuses that didnt belong in there correct spot. so i red my chilton and put the correct amperages in the correct location. now the fuel pump doesnt click when you turn the key.. relay time? i was working under the hood during pouring down rain but not to sure that could have caused it. fired right up yesterday.

 

did move the battery out and back in as well. i noticed the wire coming off the alternator goes to the battery. and in between theres a black cylinder with a small wire, and a big black wire coming off.

 

anyone?

 

That's weird. Did you try reverting to the old configuration of fuses for ***** and giggles?

 

no but i tried every combo possible.. well almost. made me kinda mad, just installed new adjustable fan and such and then was like ah crap, wont start.

 

Maybe the previous owner f***** up the fuse box somehow and it requires a different fuse than what Chilton says.. or maybe Chilton is lying! :runaway: :P

wouldnt doubt me, i restored it for the most part, and did an engine rebuild, interior ect ect. alot of things were rigged. wouldnt think the fuse box is one of them, but hey who knows

 

You'd be surprised. I had a friend who once did rig the fuse box.. don't ask.. I don't care to ever know... one of the slots went bad (dunno how) so he took one for something non important (I think a rear power window) and tore into the box and switched the wires. Who knows..

Off topic, but what did the interior resto cost?

 

actually free, i was able to clean the whole interior and get the mold out, and re glued the door panels, looks stock again.. almost

 

Check the inline fuse by the battery.
