Guide Plates

guys I have 083 Heads that a real cool forum member hooked me up with, but they have guide plates on them. They are going on a 1988 350TPI center bolt engine. Can I drop them on or do I need to remove guide plates which would result in needing to mess with the studs and everything...

Thats the intention I just have no clue what length or how to figure it out? The car is an 88TPI so should be hydra roller?
