looking for some input
so my ignition decided to bug out the other day and get locked into the on position was unable to turn the car off, thank god for quick disconnect on the fuel pump. but it did overheat, fans where not turning on. when i did shut it off finally it was blowing steam and a little bit of water out of the drivers side of the block..i assume i wasnt under the car at the time looking.
Figured i would tear the heads off to inspect the damage praying for a blown headgasket. granted i found alot of fun things along the way.

pic of the headgasket from the drivers side

pic of drivers side head
now i was told it was coming from the area of the back plug. ill admit i probably should have compression tested before pulling the heads but needed a refresh anyway. can anyone see any sign of head gasket failure?
also where are the freeze plugs located on the l98
