i have some bad luck, and i'm stupid

So last week I broke one of the stupid thermostat housing bolts. eh no big deal, gives me a reason to get a new shiny intake. plus it will be easier than getting that bolt out. right? right?

WRONG!!

so i have no problems taking the carb off taking the dizzy out, and removing some other junk. so then it comes to breaking loose the intake bolts. i start on 2468 side break them all loose(some were tight MF's and some were eh). then i move onto the 1357 bank. very first one which is on the front of the block is tough. so tough i break the bolt. okay that sucks, but i move on. the rest of them break loose no problem until the last one next to the firewall. it breaks.

so i try to use a extraction bit on the first one. nope i break it off inside the bolt.

why in the hell did i not go out and buy some pb blaster? because i'm stupid.

so here i sit 3 broken bolts and a non-running 3rd gen. as of right now i have given up because i dont know what to do. i thought of just saying F--- it and getting a new engine lol

maybe its a sign to either rebuild the 350 i have sitting in the garage or get a new one from summit.

it's not the end of the world, it just became difficult, that's all.

Some people hear tales about bolts that go here or there and may cause leaks so they use rtv on every bolt along with a healthy dose of loctite.

What stinks is to be the person behind them.

do you already have the hood removed? If not. remove it and give yourself more room. You're going to be using a drill, torch and pliers. Once you get the manifold removed you're well on the way.

This might sound kinky as all hell but you can try to double nut it
SOAK IT IN PB BLASTER OR KROIL FIRST!
