cylinder head leak help

I'm putting this engine together and before it goes in the car I want to make sure no coolant will get in this engine. I did a compression test and all the cylinders had around 160 psi, is this good enough to know that the head gasket has sealed correctly? I would try the leakdown test but I don't have an air compressor. Is there anything else I can do?

Re: cylinder head leak help

compression check is a good start but wont show leaks from small cracks that get expanded with heat or leaks past head bolt threads and such. The only other thing you could really do is install the intake/water pump and seal everything up and pressure check the cooling system side.
