Mostly happens when I sit at idle, in drive with brake on. Best way to describe it is if you put a pebble in a aluminum can and shook it around. Once I start to roll and accelerate it goes away. Just doesn't sound right. Also it will start to idle erratic and eventually die if it idles for more than a few minutes. Other than that the car sounds very healthy.

Sounds like pinging, check your timing and check for vacuum leaks.
