Ironically enough, you need to tear the whole dash out lol. Passenger side behind the defrost ducting. Just start dropping the dash and you'll see the box mounted on the back side.

It would be so so much easier to get a $25 ebay bypasss module and install rather than replacing the entire VATS module.

Glad to hear, they are fun to do, had to do it on my car too cause PO destroyed column, so instead of fussing around, did column and box out of a 60k v6 92 camaro, mint shape, even got a mint shape air bag from the car. That guy is being put in a time capsule for when the market for them explodes lol j/k (no pun intended). Glad to hear it worked.
