1985 Z28 wiring and vacuum help!!!

Ok, i just purchased a 1985 z28 camaro. the engine was replaced with a 90s model engine(center bolt heads/valve covers). it has a vacuum advanced distributor and is carbureted. car runs really rough and i assume its due to everything not connected or connected wrong. there is also alot of vacuum lines not connected or plugged off. im wanting to rewire all the wires under the hood and redo all the vaccum lines, so i can et her running nice. also the transmission shifts really hard, but may be due to vacuum issues as well. any diagrams, advice, and pictures would be greatly appreciated. please help me!!! thanks

You will need vacuum for the distributor (vacuum advance - duh), PCV, power brake booster, and HVAC control. All of the other vacuum ports on the carb can be plugged off. Your vapor canister won't purge correctly, but up to you whether or not you want to tackle that.

The throttle valve cable for the transmission (it's not a "kick down" cable) needs to be attached with a "geometry corrector" bracket attached to the throttle arm for the type of carb you have (you didn't say what it is). There isn't any vacuum connection for a TH700R-4. If you don't have that TV cable hooked up and adjusted correctly, you will burn out your tranny.
