Need Help Real Bad Camaro Iroc-Z
Hey there everyone I have 1987 Camaro Iroc-Z all redone ground up the 350 inside is all rebuilt,New SparkPlugs,New Spark Plug Wires,New Fuel Filtter,Knock senor,New Coolant Temp Senor.
Here's the problem is my car runs fine drives fine i was driving it all day and i parked it inside my gaurge and in the moring i come to start it would fire up and die right away but if i keep my foot on the gas pedal it would keep running fine with out any problem but once the foot is off it shuts down on me DON'T KNOW WHATS GOING ON it ran fine just happend out the blue and i also cleaned the Air IDLE Senor right by the Thorttle Body Help Me Please Thanks.

Sounds like the Idle Air Control motor is bad or needs adjusting. Have you tried adjusting it?

No codes yet and the IAC i took it out today had alot of black stuff build up on it i cleaned it and everything but adjusting it no didnt noe i had to i thought i would just screw on

No, it may need adjustment. there are instructions on the boards on how to adjust it. Do a search and you will find it. I bet that will take care of the problem. Also could be the throttle position sensor. You can check and adjust it using the process found on these boards as well.

It's possible, but I have never had that issue (EGR) with any of my cars. I can not speak from experience on that one.

Just asking the IAC with the spring dose it move like in and out ? if dose when i was cleaning i tired pushing it did not move at all

IIRC, it should be hard to move. I think its a "geared" motor, but I honestly cannot remember, as it's been about three years since I replaced one.

I think that if you check/adjust both the IAC and the TPS that will end your problems.. Let us know.
