Axle/Gears: 2.73
What do you think of that setup ?? project on L05
Due to bad head gasket I am going to rebuilt the heads of my92RMW with stock L05 350 engine.
Gear box is freshly rebuilt with heavy duty/towing full kit.
EDGE Torque converter with 1400 RPM stock stall speed
Car is driven every day and RPM is generally between Idle and 2000 RPM
I got EBL flasher installed.
Heads will be remanufactured stock heads (but OEM)
Intake manifold is TBI stock one (to keep hood clearance for the ignition distributor)
Rear gear ratio is 2.73 (towing option but I never tow !!!)
Objective:
Get much more torque around 1500 RPM, better engine sound and possibly improve economy.
PARTS to buy next:
Camshaft COMP cams Xtreme energy 08-407-8 (200 - 206 ° - valve lift 0.47 - 0.48)
behive springs
Summit roller rocker arms (stockish 1.5 ratio) or OEM if RR are too noisy ??
Hex A Just Cloyes timing chain
Long headers (Summit ceramic coated)
Dual exhaust (Frankenstein type) with hooker aero chambers and NO CAT
EBL flasher tuning (already installed of course)
Increased fuel pressure to reach 9C1 fuel delivery spec
new hydraulic lifters, dunno which ones ...
Is this setup OK for what I want to get ? (big torque with economy for DD)
