What cam?

My brother has a set of AFR 195 Street heads and I have a mid 70's splayed 350 block .040" fresh from the machine shop. We are thinking of building a motor for a 86 IROC with a 700R4. The block will be going back to the machine shop and getting clearanced for a larger crank.
This is being built on a $2,000 budget. I pieced together a descent bottom end that should sit us in the area of 9.7-9.9:1, Torker 2 intake and now I need to pick a cam. We want to avoid a retrofit setup and just stick with a flat tappet cam to save money (and since it's limited on the street).

I suggested something along the lines of a CL12-250-3 (240/246 @ 50, .507/.510" lift). I figure behind a 2,500 stall this can turn high 11's? Anybody have a better cam selection?

Comp Cams Camshaft Selection Tool --> www.camquest.com

You might want to verify the oil pan fits. My mid 70s truck block was driverside dipstick pan, which I swapped to an aftermarket made for a stroker.
