89 camaro rs, hard shifting

My car shifts very smoothly when im driving it, but when i start it and its in park (auto trans) i then shift into reverse or drive and it gives a decently hard thud when it goes into gear. it may not be a big problem but it bothers me and i was wondering if anyone knows what it may be.

Re: 89 camaro rs, hard shifting

Possibly bad U joints in the drive shaft.

Also could be a bad tranny mount. Tranny mount easy swap, about 15 minutes and about $10.

Could be a transmission mount. Easy fix.
