More Engine Mod Idea's

Havent posted much on this forum, so i dont know if this is the right place or not.
But, last year i dropped my engine in my car (was done on a budget) and havent drove the car since.
As the car sit's the engine is a 367 (0.40 over bore), flat-top forged piston's Vortec head's (Ported and Polished, Shaved slightly, 2.02 valve's, 1.6 rocker's, Stiffer valve spring, Rocker stud's), comp cam (.500+ lift i believe), Flo-tech header's into the factory exhaust (hopefully soon to be changed out), Edelbrock performer rpm vortec intake, Edelbrock 600cfm carb with electric choke, 14" air-filter with flow through lid.
Rod's and crank have also been professionally ground down and a little bit of weight reduction.
I'm sure there's more but cannot think of them at the moment (They'd be small stuff anyhow). I am sure a new ignition system would help out but not sure what to get.
Also, i was thinking a small shot of Nitrous (100-150 shot) unless the motor wouldnt be able to handle it much.

What do i expecting to be putting down at the wheels, and what can i do to improve the drivetrain?

Trans is a 700R4 that i'm sure will need a rebuild soon, and rear-end is 3.42:1 gear's with an Eaton locker.

Thank's in advance.

Re: More Engine Mod Idea's

no real way of estimating "to the ground" numbers. thats what dynos are for

id stay away from nitrous. but thats just me

get that exhaust changed asap, thats what would hold (what sounds like a decent build) back.

what ignition system do you have now?
what happened to your 5 speed? if it came with a clutch set up, my preferance for an improved drive train would be a t-56

Re: More Engine Mod Idea's

Exhaust i want to change out soon, but not sure what to go for as far a decent sounding exhaust is. We have two nice sounding car's but they both have true duals with long tube header's on them.
What does everyone suggest for a good sounding, performance wise exhaust without spending an arm and a leg?

Biggest problem for me in my Province is that there might be one Dyno here and it is 5-hour's away from me. So i'd like to hear from someone that's done a similer build to hear what they've put down at the wheel's or at the crank.

Thanks

Also, my ignition system right now is a GM HEI distribuator with Mallory 8mm wires/90* boots.

If u don't want to spend an arm and a leg, longtubes are ruled out. You've got shorties now, so get or fabricate a 3in y-pipe and have 3in run all the way back to a good 1to2 muffler (I like flowmaster or corsa) no cats.

HEI with a vacuum advance is all I run also. It's simple and you don't have to buy a 400 dollar box
