hey whats up guys my 92 z28 seems to be very underpowered, i dont feel the pull or torque like i used to, i know it needs a tune up but is that all? any recommendations on what i should start at? i would like to start purchasing pruducts to make it more of a beast what are some basics? exhaust and headers?

 

First, put it back to spec. If you don't get all your power back, then you'll need to diagnose before buying speed parts. Throwing money at an engine is easy, but is no guarantee of great results.

 

One of the most common causes of power loss is a restricted cat. It's a pain to do, but if you can pull the cat and check it for damage to the strata, or even try the car without the cat, you'll know real quickly if that's your problem. Otherwise, check fuel pressure, state of tune, and look at Block Learn on a scan tool to determine if the injectors might be failing or clogged.
