so i need to replace my battery regardless because my neverstart isnt holding a charge anymore.

so im looking around today and im thinking, are those optima red tops really worth the money? they were priced at 179.99

They are worth it, but they are pricey. Personally, I wouldn't have one in a street car - in my 4x4 that is going out into the woods 100 miles from nowhere yes, but not in a street car. I'd stick to a good battery like Advance Auto gold or equivalent - that $100 savings can be spent elsewhere.
