How much are these ported 083 heads worth?
I am thinking about taking off my stock heads which are ported 083 heads that have 2.02/1.60 valves with only 1500 miles on them, and selling them but im not sure how much they are worth but the port and pollish alone was $600.00. How much would be a fair price too sell these heads for?

Who did the work and how well do they flow? Got a chart to go with them? What brand valves are in them, what springs, drilled for rocker studs? Guide bosses cut down for more lift? Milled?
Generally you dont get back what you put into heads after being used, even new sometimes you dont get what you put into them.
If they flow decent and have a quality job with quality components, I'd start asking around 400-500 bucks. They may be worth more if you used really good parts and port work was well done, since complete valvespring package for a good hydraulic roller setup can be 250-300 bucks alone, but I think 500 aint bad without knowing more information.
These heads with good port work and machine work can be very good heads for someone wanting iron heads. They should beat vortec numbers with 2.02 valve and port work. Thats a good head. You'd have to spend a couple hundred bucks just to get vortecs on the same level. Same with aluminum L98 castings, they would require some work.

well i was thinking about buying a new set of alluminum procomp heads with 210 cc runners and 2.02 1.60 valves and swapping the 083`s, because i dont think the 083`s are flowing enough for my lt4 hotcam and hsr combo. would the procomps be a good upgrade or should i look into something else?

im not sure why but when i put my 1.6 roller rockers on my car only wants too pull to 5400 and before with my stock 1.5`s it was tuned and pulled to 6300? the only reason i was thinkin about selling the 083`s is because someone tried too tell me they wont support my stealthram and lt4 hotcam. Is this true or do i have a different problom?

Re: How much are these ported 083 heads worth?
Could be a different problem. Again, depends on how much port work was done but i've seen ported 083's put down some impressive flow numbers that should handle the stealth ram and hotcam...but better heads will make more power since some aftermarket heads have better flow characteristics than ported 083's.
if you went to 1.6's and lost rpm, i'd check pushrod length and valvetrain geometry. Make sure you have the right length. Then check to see if your springs can handle the lift of that cam and have enough pressure to be stable at higher rpms. Could be some valve float now with the extra lift. Hard to say. Do you have dyno data showing the powerband change?
Did you retune for the 1.6 rockers? Doubt that it needs retuned but every little bit helps.
I feel 210cc procomps are alittle big for that setup. Go with a 190-195cc runner or so.
