i was driving the the freeway today feel something on the pedal look down at the rpm gauge its at zero. all the electronics are on. as i was pulling over i looked in my mirros and saw sparks flying out the back looked down at my cat glowing red. im getting fuel but no spark out the coil bought a new coil same issue. timing may have jumped? bad ecu or ignition module? any ideas. my buddy did say he saw the rotor spin with the dist. cap off. i will verify that though. any ideads please help.

 

if the cat's red, it quite often means its clogged. if that's the case, you're completely choking off the engine and it definitely wont run

 

its brandnew... it was the ignition module.. thanks for the reply
